Race dates and schedule

The women’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup returns to Jasná on the last weekend of January 2027:

  • Saturday 23 January 2027: women’s giant slalom
  • Sunday 24 January 2027: women’s slalom

The organiser will publish the start times and a detailed schedule later on the event page at jasna.sk. The races in Jasná will be one of the last dress rehearsals before the 2027 World Championships in Crans-Montana, which start in early February. For spectators, that means the world’s best technical skiers will be on the start list.

The last time the World Cup came to Jasná was on 20 and 21 January 2024, also with a giant slalom and a slalom.

Where the course is and where to watch from

The races take place on the northern, Liptov side of Chopok. The start is at Luková and the finish at Koliesko, which you reach by chairlift from Biela Púť.

With a standard Public ticket, you watch from standing zones, either at Koliesko or at Priehyba. VIP Gold has its place right in the finish area at Koliesko. You choose the location when you buy, so decide in advance whether you want to see the racers come into the finish or would rather have a bit more peace a little higher up.

In January you will be standing on the slope for several hours in freezing temperatures. Dress as if you were going skiing, take a thermos flask, and bring hand warmers for the children. Between the first and second runs there is time to go and warm up.

When we checked, we could not find out which pistes will be open to the public during the race weekend. If you want to ski, it is better to plan it for the days before or after the races. Ski pass prices and parking on a normal day are covered in our article Skiing at Jasná.

How much tickets cost and where to buy them

Tickets are sold online by the organiser at wcj.gopass.travel; sales started on 18 September 2026 at 10:00. Each ticket is valid for both race days. There are three categories: Public, VIP Silver and VIP Gold.

Prices when sales opened (all prices are in euros):

  • Public, adults: the first 1,000 tickets €42, the next 4,000 €52, the last 5,000 €56. Registered Gopass users get part of the price back as goX points (€3 in the first two waves, €1 in the last one).
  • Children aged 6 - 11: reduced ticket €34, €42 or €45, depending on how many have been sold. Children under 6 get in free when accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket, at most two children.
  • VIP Silver: €369, limited numbers.
  • VIP Gold: €2,499, limited numbers, place in the finish area at Koliesko.

The price goes up with the number of tickets sold, so the earlier you buy, the less you pay. You will see the current price when you buy on Gopass.

Tickets are issued in the holder’s first name and surname and cannot be transferred to anyone else. If you are buying for a whole group, collect everyone’s names in advance and do not buy “blind” for someone who does not yet know whether they will come.

Transport and parking during the races

When we checked on 1 October 2026, the organiser had not yet published the 2027 transport and parking plan. To give you an idea, this is how it worked at the last World Cup in January 2024:

  • The Demänovská dolina valley was closed on race days from 4:00 to 16:00 to everyone without a valid entry permit.
  • Anyone with paid parking in the valley had to arrive by 7:30. After that, they were no longer let into the valley.
  • Free parking was available at the Armed Forces Academy (Akadémia ozbrojených síl) in Liptovský Mikuláš, with space for 7,500 cars.
  • Free shuttle buses ran from the park-and-ride car parks to Biela Púť and back from 4:30 to 21:00.

If the arrangements are similar, do not count on driving into the valley in the morning. From Liptovský Trnovec it is 7 km to Liptovský Mikuláš, about 10 minutes by car, and from there you ride the shuttle bus. We could not find out whether the free Ski & Aqua bus, which also stops in Trnovec in winter, will run during the races. Keep an eye on the event page at jasna.sk and on visitliptov.sk.

Supporting programme

The organisers promise a sports and cultural programme on both race days. According to the resort, the main stage will be at Biela Púť and a food village at Priehyba. The organiser will publish the names of the performers and the concert times later on jasna.sk.

With children, it is good to have a plan for the time between runs as well. You can spend the break by the stage at Biela Púť or in the food village at Priehyba and then head back to the spectator zone for the second run.

Where to stay during the World Cup

There are 10,000 Public tickets on sale alone, and most spectators will be looking for a place to sleep on the same weekend. If you are coming from far away, it is worth arriving on Friday 22 January and leaving on Monday.

Bosorka Zrub in Liptovský Trnovec is 21 km from Jasná, about 25 minutes by car. The log cabin has 130 m², 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and sleeps 8 people comfortably, 10 at most. For a group of fans, that means one shared evening by the fireplace instead of five hotel rooms. After a whole day out in the cold, the infrared sauna comes in handy. There is parking for 2 cars.

So sort out your accommodation as soon as you have your tickets, not in January. How to reach us in winter is described in our article Getting to Liptovský Trnovec.

What to combine it with

If you stay on for the week, you can ski at Jasná before the races and spend the Monday at Tatralandia, which is 2.5 km from the cabin and is open in winter too. You will find more about a winter stay with us on our winter at the cabin page.

Check whether the weekend of 22 - 25 January 2027 is still free by sending a no-obligation enquiry; booking directly works out 10% cheaper than via Booking.com. We are a local host and nobody pays us for our recommendations.
